Opulent summers with Select Citywalk

Now that “summer has set in with its usual severity”, and my forever beloved Select CityWalk is out with its summery and soothing range of fun activities, I am totally geared up to beat the heat.

Spring Decorations at Select CITYWALK

While setting out with my family and friends to Citywalk is my obsessive fad, this month with the launch of Massimo Dutti I had every reason for those scores of visits.
I, who in many ways owe my love to MassimoDutti for being a sister brand of Zara, was eagerly anticipating its launch, more so because it is a premium clothing brand and also because this store in Citywalk is its debut in the country. Ever since my promotion and the regular teasing around, a shirt from Dutti along with a sumptuous lunch at Burger King was all my brother needed for holding back his horses.

Apart from Dutti’s launch this month, I also happened to visit the mall on Mother’s Day i.e. 8th May, this year. Because in many ways I don’t happen to be a very expressive person, especially when the feelings are genuine and heartfelt, this little date and surprise bout of love made our day so much special. Citywalk’s activity of ‘supporting your mother by carrying her in your arms for 9 seconds’ witnessed an unusual zeal and several volunteers.

Since both of us are cooking fanatics, we also ended up checking out ‘The Nigella Lawson Collection’ at CCDS Kitchen & more, which in every means caught our fancy.

Another star this month and for the coming two-three months is ‘Refuel’ at the food court. A fresh cold press juice is all one needs to sail through the harsh summers. It’s the Watermelon Juice with rich amounts of minerals and vitamins that works the trick for me.

With so much to look forward to, it stands irrevocable that basking in abundance and revelling in your relationships and more is all that Select Citywalk celebrates.

Delhi in full bloom at Select Citywalk

It’s 40 degrees outside and I am sitting in my comfortable room with the chilling AC right now.
This is not a usual site for every resident of NCR region. Hailing from a Yamuna-paar city – Ghaziabad, I’m used to power cuts that can last from as mere as an hour to six hours. Last two weekends were such occasions when I decided to spend quality time at home and ended up visiting Select CITYWALK instead to get some respite from the ‘dilli ki garmi’ and the prolonged power cuts!

It is April 2016 and trust me it feels no less than June already! I safely assumed that there would be less crowd owing to the scorching heat. To my surprise the entire Select CITYWALK was bustling with people because of a 100% charity sale to support Friendicos, Earth Savior’s Foundation and Dukh Bhanjan at their grounds.

A few Select CITYWALK brands had donated for the Cause, along with individual donors to support these three NGOs. The event also featured a flashmob in which more than 100 people participated, people happily dancing in the heat was for sure a fun sight to witness.

As I entered, these amazing decorations brought a big smile to my face. Must say, no matter what season of the year it is, Select CITYWALK always celebrates it in full strength.

This reminded me of the weekend before when Basant Mela was celebrated at CITYWALK in the first week of the month, the whole plaza hosted big stalls that staged beautiful accessories, jewelry, home décor items, beautifully woven apparels, tempting edibles like chocolates, cookies and much more.

The décor, the crowd and the amazing 50% sale at GAP had already made my weekend from miserable to great and it further turned out to be awesome with these pair of lovely sock from the newly opened Happy Socks store on the first floor.

My April is made already which such experiences and I really look forward to my next visit to Select CITYWALK :D

December Fiesta with Select City

Come December and I get spontaneously groovy! But of course blame it on Dilli Ki Sardi, the festive extravaganza and the Masakali me who is forever ready for a little more fun. I in my element is a regular at Delhi’s favourite Select CITYWALK, however my visits to the mall almost multiplies to quadruple as Christmas nears. No I am not exactly a shopping person, but I quite enjoy life with bells on.
The annual Christmas market at CITYWALK is something I am really fond of. The decorations, mood and the offers which reverberates this shopping paradise always pump me up. To put it straight all the bling and pomp at my yearly Christmas cum New Year’s parties are gems from this very market. More like a tradition now, I handpicked all the party essentials from this year’s Christmas special bazaar that was in place from 16th to 20th December. Brimming with all the hues from round the world, I love to spoil myself with more than what I need from this wonderland while of course swooning with gastronomical delight in abundance of cakes and cookies. The adoption centre for Santas little puppies at the market was a huge hit amongst the visitors and added to the novelty which CITYWALK is famous for.

Lit up with Christmas spirits around thebiggest Christmas tree I have witnessed so far, CITYWALK is adorned with festivities at their full force this December.

This beauty brimming with decoration! #MasakaliLikes

A classified epicurean as I have turned out to be, it was hard for me to resist the temptation of participating in a Healthy Cooking Workshop by renowned chef Tirath Singh, which with all my weight issues (that I accept with a very heavy heart!) is the need of the hour. The gluten-free workshop with many toothsome recipes was a gourmet heaven training in and serving with roast chicken along with pomegranate glaze and Christmas special plum cake.

As Delhi and I are thoroughly immersed in a Christmas and New Year high, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that CITYWALK stands out as a stellar adding to the jubilance and pep of the city that undeniably echoes the exact mood of the capital.

Signing off!

"NaMo" - The fastest diffusing brand of 2013

Diffusion process of the new brands and products have become difficult for the new products and services. It's like an average consumer is exposed to thousands of brand ads every single day. This gives the reason for the brand diffusion theories to make sense to the new marketers.

The brand "NaMo" seems to have left behind all the competitors and emerge as the fastest diffusing brand of the year. The 63 year old brand - Narendra Modi who previously had a regional brand has now become a National brand. This super brand not only over shadowed the competitors but also his own party brand.
No doubt! The battle was difficult for NaMo with a tainted past - (Gujrat Communal Riots) but like any strong brand would do - NaMo acknowledged it and moved on.

There are a variety of reasons that NaMo diffused faster than any brand. Let's talk about these one by one-

Valentine's Day, Just Another Marketing Tactic..

Valentine's Day, a day to celebrate love. A day for the people in love. But no longer for the people in love. Valentine's Day as per the recent trends has emerged to be a great Marketing Technique. It has now turned out to be a profitable day for Entrepreneurs.
"Get a 30% couple discount"
"This Valentine's Day gift your better half a diamond with D'Dmas"

Enough to say it all?

Do you really think it is a day to celebrate love and genuinely spend time with your valentine on this day OR you're busy buying your special someone the discounted gifts because you can't resist the lucrative deal?

What's your take on the Valentine - Love OR Marketing

Both Men & Women should be allowed to have multiple spouses.

There used to be a time when our beloved kings used to have multiple queens. Infact, even today the same notion holds true for some. Then why not women can have multiple spouses?

We talk about Gender Equality but fail to recognise the need behind the idea of multiple spouses. The whole idea of gender equality seems irrelevant to this question. On the other hand, Gender Equality might seem to be the only reason.

What's your take on this issue?

"Should men and women both, be allowed to have multiple spouses or not?"

If yes, then Why?
If No, then why?

This is your #Masakali. (How boring?) Uh.

Coming to the point, This is NOT my blog. This is OUR blog. Don't seem puzzled or take it as a tool for some political party's new tool of Promotion. No No !!!

This is an initiative to publish your opinion, your say. There are so many ways to put forth your opinion, I Know ; Being on the social networking websites is one such evidence. BUT, what about the topics which we all speak about and forget. Let's not forget what we felt or we will, let's shape it all together as a calculated solution to a problem OR a balanced and healthy argument.
P.S. - Relax karo yaar.. koi political issues discussion karne ka boring blog nahi hai. Yeh apna blog hai, toh saab Opinion abhi apne day to day common pango pe hi lenge.

Let's answer some of your FAQ's :

Q. Why am i doing this?
A. To answer this, i've always felt short of my space of expression. There are many topics which i've always thought of but have always had this curiosity of knowing the other people's opinion on the same too.

P.S. - I'm not the budding Barkha Dutt.

Q. How will it benefit you?
A. This will help you in the same way it will help me. Analyzing a problem and trying to look at it with a different person's perspective too. Getting Published. A mini mock GD for aspirants preparing for entrances or preparing for a job interview.

Q. What do we have to do?
A. The process is as simple as a child's play. Come back every week to this blog link, check out the current topic announced, leave your opinion in comments.
